Bible Fund is a non-profit, charitable organization, supported by freewill offerings. It was established to help in the distribution of Bibles and to serve humanitarian needs in Portuguese-speaking areas of the world according to the principle "Freely you have received, freely give" (Matt. 10:8). The Bible Fund supports the educational, cultural and spiritual needs in those and other regions of the world. Donations are gratefully accepted and are tax deductible in the U.S.A.
Who, Then, Benefits From These Funds?
Beneficiaries of these funds are thousands of ordinary needy people
in Angola, Brazil, Namibia and other countries as the need arises.
There are also widows and orphans, some here in the United States,
with the majority being in Angola, West Africa. In Angola, there are
large families who barely eke out a daily living. Our funds provide
some relief in these impoverished areas, and also give the people spiritual
hope for a better world tomorrow.
Soon after the founding of the Fund, the directors realized that the
Fund need not be limited to just one country, but could reach out to
all countries in the developing nations needing this type of assistance.
Since there are many humanitarian organizations already doing this
type of work, we are limiting our activities at present to the members
of the Igreja de Deus Mundial in Angola and associated members in Namibia
and Brazil. We look forward to doing a lot more in the future. Feel
free to visit our link, Projects & Activities, and see photos taken at the
annual Feast of Tabernacles held in the village of Cacuaco (Luanda,
Angola) in 2001. bƒ
