primary
activity of the The Bible Fund has been to purchase Bibles for the
distribution among the members of the Igreja de Deus Mundial in Angola,
and members associated with that organization in Brazil. Activities
in English-speaking countries are done under the auspices of the Bible
Fund. The Bible Fund operates as an independent philanthropic organization
enabling the support of such activities. The founder is a member of
the Angolan IDM, but does not hold an office in that organization.
The members in Angola are mostly refugees of the Civil War that ended
in February 2002, and are in need of Bibles and humanitarian supplies
such as clothing, food and shelter.
A recent accomplishment has been the purchase of Bibles in Luanda
for distribution in three main areas of the country. It is our intention
to supply enough Bibles until every member of the Igreja de Deus Mundial
has a personal copy. We supplied funds to have a fixed phone and phone
line installed in Lubango for the church there, which will then permit
the installation of a computer with access to the Internet, thus opening
up better lines for electronic mail!
We have also supplied funds to help pastors make visits to many isolated
areas.

Feast of Tabernacles:
The Bible Fund is a vehicle for channeling donations from donors who wish to support the work of the Igreja de Deus Mundial in Angola. Part of the funds are used to sponsor the church's gatherings on the annual Holy Days, the largest convocation being that of the Feast of Tabernacles that occurs every year around September or October.
For complete information on this year's feast, please see Feast of Tabernacles.
Here are photos taken at the annual Feast of Tabernacles held in the village of Cacuaco (Luanda, Angola).
